The Gift of Volunteering

We only have to look around to know that homelessness and poverty surround us in Spokane. It’s tempting to give up, to feel helpless in the face of what appear to be insurmountable problems. Fight poverty with your presence and your own two hands by volunteering at Transitions. Help us remind women experiencing poverty and homelessness that they have options to move toward self-sufficiency and that there are people who care. Volunteers who offer their time, talents, and professional expertise to the participants in our programs are indispensable to Transitions and our mission. Thank you for considering being a part of such a significant responsibility.

Committee Work

Transitions’ various committees are fundamental to everything we do to support our mission. The individuals that form these committees are the lifeblood of our programs and the driving force behind helping end poverty for women and children in Spokane. We are always looking for driven, caring people to join our 5 different committees:

  • Development Committee
  • Facilities Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Program Committee
  • HeRs Committee (Human Resources & Sponsorship)
