Long Term Housing
Program wide, Transitions offers 49 housing units for homeless women and families. More information about our programs can be found HERE. All of Transitions’ housing is available on a referral basis only. To qualify for our housing:
Single Person (no children)
If you are a single person (no children), call SNAP at (509) 456-7627 to complete an assessment (the Singles Homeless Coordinated Assessment). The results of this assessment allow SNAP to refer folks to any kind of housing that is part of its coordinated program, including Transitions.
Women with Children
Women with children can apply for Transitions’ housing by completing a separate assessment (the Homeless Family Coordinated Assessment) given by Catholic Charities. Call Catholic Charities at (509) 325-5005 to take the assessment and be placed on the waiting list.
Women
Women's Hearth offers a safe space for anyone who identifies as a woman and is 18+. Come during the day to relax, get a shower, drink some coffee, or learn about and connect to resources. Located at 920 W 2nd Ave, call (509) 455-4249 for hours.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, please call the YWCA Crisis Line
