EduCare

EduCare program provides licensed, trauma-informed childcare in a developmentally supportive environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool age children. Donate on #GivingTuesday to EduCare and help continue the efforts of education specifically designed to meet the needs of formerly homeless children.
  • 1 could provide a jar of baby food
  • 5 could provide a pack of crayons
  • 30 could provide a field trip for the preschool class
  • 100 could provide nurse consultation fees for one month
  • 1000 could provide one month of preschool childcare

Home Yard Cottages

The Home Yard Cottages provide affordable, permanent housing units for previously homeless Spokane families, along with case management, resources and community activities. Donate on #GivingTuesday to help families find a safe space to build a permanent home.
  • 5 could provide transportation to appointments
  • 10 could provide quarters for a family's laundry day
  • 17 could provide a 7 day bus pass
  • 50 could provide equipment to help a family with disabilities

  • 50 could provide bedding for one room
  • 100 could provide a holiday meal for the house

New Leaf Cafe, providing hands-on work experience, job training, and supportive services designed to help women gain the self-confidence and professional skills necessary for self-sufficiency.   • 20 could provide one employee with a YMCA membership

Transitional Living Center

Transitional Living Center provides transitional housing with support services for women and children experiencing homelessness in 15 apartments and one permanent housing unit. Donate to TLC on #GivingTuesday to help women with children experiencing homelessness create stability in their lives.

  • 2 could provide detergent for a load of laundry
  • 15 could provide a family fun night activity
  • 25 could provide a birth certificate for a family
  • 50 could cover the cost of a housing application fee
  • 500 could provide bedding, microwave, and cleaning supplies for a 3 bedroom apartment
  • 1000 could provide water, sewage, garbage for one week

Women's Hearth

Women’s Hearth is a drop-in day center in downtown Spokane–a safe space for women who have experienced poverty, trauma and/or homelessness. Donate to Women’s Hearth on #GivingTuesday to help women find a “hearth” of welcome, respect, integral resources, and a close community.

  • 1 could provide a hot shower
  • 3 helps provide a warm place to spend the day
  • 12 could provide a week's worth of coffee & snacks
  • 50 could provide a week's worth of program supplies
  • 500 could provide staff development for 6 months
  • 1000 could keep the Hearth open for half of a day

I further consent to the disclosure of any and all information about me contained in private and government files relevant to this application for employment or relating to my present and former employment history, and I request all former listed employers and federal, state and local government agencies to supply said information to you in your request. You are also authorized to make any investigations of my background, fingerprints, personal history, and financial and credit record through any investigative or credit agencies or bureaus of your choice.

To my former employers named above, please furnish TRANSITIONS with personal information requested by TRANSITIONS. I release you, my former employers, from liability that may arise as a result of you providing such information to TRANSITIONS. Upon written request, I am entitled to receive written disclosure of the nature and scope of the investigation requested. This authorization and consent shall be valid in original, fax or copy form. I further authorize ongoing procurement of the above mentioned reports at any time during my employment (or contract). I understand that my employment shall by contingent upon proof of identity and verification of eligibility for employment in the United States in accordance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Such satisfactory proof of employment authorization and identity (valid driver’s license, birth certificate, Green Card, etc) must be presented within three days of being hired. Failure to submit such proof within the required time shall result in immediate employment termination
