Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Ambassadors:

Ambassadors open doors for Transitions in the community, introducing new people to our mission and impact at our Open Door Events throughout the year.  Perfect for the busiest among us who still want to make an impact!

Farmer's Market Volunteer:

Have fun while making an impact through Transitions' New Leaf program. Hang out at the farmer's markets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and talk to people about New Leaf while selling their delicious baked goods and fresh produce. Volunteer description here. (Seasonal)

Photography:

If you love photography there will always be an opportunity to shoot events or portraits. Upcoming opportunities include Thanksgiving celebrations and Christmas photos with our visiting Santa.

Gardening:

Get your hands dirty at Transitions' Growing Hope Community Garden. Watering, planting, building...whatever you like to do there is a place for you!

Play Time at EduCare:

Help support the moms at the Transitional Living Center on Mondays from 5-7 p.m. by playing with their kiddos! If you miss playgrounds or love children you'll definitely want to volunteer here!

Job Mentor:

If you'd like to contribute your job-searching knowledge to women getting back on their feet, this is a great opportunity for you. Whether it's job searching, interviewing or resume building your skills would be a great asset.

Cooking, anyone?:

We're seeking guest "chefs" at Miryam's House, the Women's Hearth and the Transitional Living Center to help the women we serve learn more about cooking and nutrition!

If you have a large group, a skill or an idea you'd like to try just let us know and we will work together to make an impact in the lives of the women and children served at Transitions.

You can email your volunteer application, located at the top of the page, to vol@help4women.org or call 509-328-6702 to discuss your ideas, interests and further opportunities.
